Tasting Notes
Vinous 91
Deep red. Vibrant aromas of framboise, cherry and rose petal. Bright, precise and floral; comes across as considerably more delineated and brisk than the Haut-Doix. Offers a rare combination of silky texture, sweetness of fruit and verve for the year. Finishes very long and sweet, with fine, horizontal tannins. A superb showing.
Wine Advocate 91
Black cherry syrup can be found in the nose of the outstanding, medium-bodied 2001 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers. A sumptuous wine, it bastes the palate with thick layers of jammy red and black fruits. A hedonist’s delight, this candied, supple effort is a sensual, sexy effort. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
Anticipated maturity: 2003-2011
