"The 2011 Barolo Fossati is strongly redolent of oak tones, including cinnamon, clove and Spanish cedar. Yet the warmth and the succulent fruit from this hot vintage does a very good job of contrasting that oaky spice and smoke. This wine feels soft and rich in terms of texture. It offers dark cherry and dried blackberry flavors on the finish."
