Mid crimson with brick rim. Gosh this stands out for its spicy black fruit. Intense and peppery. The first wine with really marked Nuits darkness. A little bit smokily reductive too, reinforcing the savoury flavours. Dark and peppery on the finish. Fine, very dry tannin texture. Maturing well but slowly. (JH)
