Tasting Notes
Antonio Galloni 90
The 2018 La Louviere is a real powerhouse. Leather, smoke, incense and scorched earth wrap around a core of dark red fruit in this virile, imposing Pessac Leognan. I won’t be surprised if the 2018 turns out even better than this note suggests, as it is full of personality.

The 2018 L de la Louviere offers light, earthy red berry fruit on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins, touches of bell pepper infusing the red fruit, and some attenuation on the finish. So-so.
Anticipated maturity: 2021-2025
Wine Advocate 92
Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 la Louviere leaps from the glass with notions of redcurrant jelly, fresh blackberries and warm black plums, plus nuances of dried mint, cedar chest and ground cloves. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing and savory in the mouth, featuring a light touch of finely grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing with a compelling red berry lift. It’s an elegant, lively expression of this vintage and one that really works!
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2039
