Full bottle 1,307 g. From a mix of lieux dits across the appellation, mostly in the middle of the village, on a mixture of soils: La Platiere, Les Crais, Charreux and Champerrier. Roty has quite a following. Aeration is recommended. Transparent garnet. This wine is already fairly evolved with sweetness and a light animal note. Is that a hint of salami …? There is just a little hole in the mid palate and the finish is pretty drying. Food needed! But it’s true to the village. And on the second night it had really improved with some sweet fruit, interest and length. (JR)
