Tasting Notes
Antonio Galloni 88
The 2020 Reaut is a powerful, deep wine. Dark red fruit, cedar, dried flowers, white pepper, tobacco and spice are pushed forward. I would give this a year or two in barrel to see if the bruising tannins soften. This style strikes me as a bit pushed, unnecessarily so. The underlying material seems quite good.
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2028

The 2020 Reaut was tasted from two bottles, the second one fresher, offering blackberry, pine and light graphite aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a keen line of acidity, taut and fresh with a lively blackcurrant and tobacco finish that lingers in the mouth. Very fine.
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2034
