The 2020 Pouilly-Fuisse Sur La Roche 1er Cru has a tightly-wound bouquet with Conference pear and light Granny Smith notes, crushed rock emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and white peach on the entry, fine depth, though it needs more mineralite and terroir expression on the finish. Tasted blind at the BIVB Maconnais tasting.
