Tasting Notes
Antonio Galloni 80
The 2021 Cap Leon Veyrin is a perplexing wine dominated by strong green/vegetal notes that I did not see at all in the en primeur sample.
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2029
Neal Martin 88
The 2021 Cap Leon Veyrin has a fresh and leafy bouquet, but there is a sense of brightness and vigor here. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity and maybe just a bit of oak to be assimilated on the finish, but it sashays along with style. It has improved since its barrel showing.
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2032

Cask sample. Pencil lead, graphite and cassis nose. The palate has firm tannins, a sweetness to the fruit, coffee char. Medium weight, and clean, moderate concentration of fruit. (AC)
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2030
