Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 88
The 2021 Chateau de Villegeorge has an attractive nose with blackberry, Earl Grey and light tertiary scents that gain delineation with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with rather dry tannins and a touch of herbaceousness. There is sufficient freshness, though it does pull up a bit short on the finish. The 2021 is not bad at all, even if it doesn’t quite match its promise from barrel.
Anticipated maturity: 2026-2036

Cask sample. Good fruit expression on the nose, dark fruits. The palate is medium weight with soft tannins and a coffee note, a charred character as well. Simple. (AC)
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2030
