The 2021 Meursault Les Perrieres 1er Cru has a small reduction on the nose, yellow plum and quince, crushed stone with hints of white flower. This is very complex and nuanced, completely engaging. The palate is beautifully balanced with lemon rind, orange pith, zesty acidity and tangible mineralite towards the more linear finish. There is a sapid thread running throughout this Perrieres from start to finish. This lives up to the billing after such an impressive showing from barrel. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
