The 2022 Meursault Clos des Boucheres 1er Cru has a glorious bouquet, a little austere at first and it demands coaxing, unfolding to reveal nuanced crushed stone and light walnut scents. Brilliant delineation. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, exquisite balance, poised and tender to the point where you almost overlook the sheer power and intensity of this Meursault. A healthy dose of stem ginger on the finish. Outstanding. To quote Radiohead everything in its right place. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
