The 2022 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru has a slightly oily, resin-like bouquet that gains clarity with aeration. The palate is simple and slightly lower in acidity, with hints of yellow plum and orange rind, though it feels a little abrupt on the finish. Bottled under Diam 5. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
