Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 90
The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Champs Canet 1er Cru is a considerable step up from the two Village Crus, with greater complexity and vigour on the nose, sporting just a slight reduction. The palate is well balanced with a slightly waxy/pithy entry. Good weight, lightly spiced, this fans out nicely towards the finish. Enjoy over the next 7 to 10 years.
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2035

20% new oak. Tank sample. Mid lemon. Quite rich and open at this point, with a floral nose of white flowers, a little chlorophyll and rich lemon. Moderate, crisp acidity. Quite long, intensely mineral and plenty of tension. (MH)
Anticipated maturity: 2028-2038
